I bought beautiful stuff, learned a lot, and touched more yarn than I could ever possibly afford (hmmmmm quiviut, hmmmm cashmere). I think we need all new setup for pre-election (well not *JUST* pre-election) politics – like something that is a little less us and them, and maybe more about US, all of us. We are so far away from having the people really involved in local or national politics at this point that an oligarchy almost seems inevitable. It has become more about who has the power, and how to maintain it, and less about actually managing a country and governing the people – then are the parties useful to us at all. I think one of the most frustrating things about the goofball insides of my head, is that it is SO easy for it to discount the good comments and feedback I get, up against the bad feedback/comments I have received – and that can be on almost any subject – but it seems worst when it comes to my musical skills. I have received some terribly negative feedback from people very close to me.
