So I hear that the Dems are suddenly and fairly out of the blue pushing the Equal Rights Amendment. I do think that it is *almost* a day late and a dollar short. So I was wondering why put effort into amending the constitution to cover something that is largely covered by a lot of law aready. They way the ERA is worded I think that it could prove to be an interesting wedge on a few of today’s more controversial topics. I really only knew of the amendment through history class and hadn’t ever looked at the exact text. [...]
