If you are unfamiliar with the music of Jennifer Armstrong, we forgive you ... even though there can be no excuse. Next time, however, severe penalties will be handed down.
A resident of Maine, Jennifer is a musician, storyteller, and teacher whose dozens of concert and workshop titles have helped spread a love and appreciation of traditional music across all age groups. She relates stories from her Celtic-American heritage and plays the Scottish bagpipe, fiddle, banjo, and guitar.
More than just a performer, Jennifer shares her music with her listeners ... a trait handed down to her by loving, musical parents Gerry and George Armstrong, with whom she performed since childhood with sister Rebecca.
Jennifer's music and the passion with which she performs it are as engaging as a baby's smile. It turns your head and holds you spellbound. And that is exactly the way you will remember them.
Copied from the Celtic Knot site:

Storytelling in the Celtic Knot Snug with JENNIFER ARMSTRONG
Telling traditional and personal stories from her Celtic-American heritage and playing the Scottish bagpipe, fiddle, banjo and guitar.
"A storyteller, singer, poet and instrumentalist, Armstrong's humor, warmth and grace inspire the artist in everyone."
There will be NO COVER CHARGE for this wonderful event, but we will "pass the hat" for Jennifer that evening.
**PLEASE NOTE**Seating in the Snug is very limited. Come early to reserve your seats, have a meal in our dining room, and then retire with your drinks to the coziness of the Snug for storytelling!!
Reservations strongly recommended.
For those of you who don't remember or who weren't there Jenny was one of my very first house concerts . . . She used to be a local and now this is a rare chance to see her without traveling to the east coast.
So I haven't done this in a while, but its pretty easy, show up, bring a craft project, work on it, listen to some music and chat with the other people who showed up and brought their craft projects.
I will be providing some snacks and drinks, but would welcome any snacky things you would like to bring to share.
I'll be ready for folks to show up around 1pm and we can craft our hearts out until everyone wants to go home.
Please RSVP - hope to see some of you!
and yeah, I know I am doing a weekend wrap up on Tuesday . . . but seeing as my weekend went from Thursday night to Monday night, it seems valid.
Concert was awesome!! I am not a good media reviewer, I tend to want to just jump up and down and squee. And this concert was definitely squee-worthy. Soon (and assuming permissions) we'll be able to make some of the video we took available, probably on you tube. I just have to figure out this new fangled video thingie - good thing I work where i do  .
Sooj and K were lovely houseguests. Yesterday was very restful for Evan and I as we laid around and recovered from the weekend.
Post-concert the house is cleaner than it has been for a LONG LONG time. Which we will desperately try to goad ourselves into maintaining. We have reconfigured the house somewhat, what was the "office" aka "huge pile of crap", is now an nice open space with a couch and lots of windows. What other furniture that is in that room (a china cabinet and some desk bits) will mostly move out over the next few months. With one less couch in the living room, and more spread out seating, the whole front of the house feels much more roomy. It made fitting in the 35 people or so we had for the concert fairly easy, and I think it will allow us to host a few kinds of events that in the past were kind of a problem - like game days.
