Went to Capricon and saw a good percentage of my friends list and added 2 new folks and . and I met on a panel about Lj and blogging and found that we knew tons of folks in common – people from all over fandom and on both this userid and my more fannish one. and I ended up chatting a bit at some of the music programming and while hanging out in the radio station. But mostly it was a really musical weekend for me. The funny thing is that i went not even sure I was going to [...]

2 Part post – Cheryl Wheeler is a wonderful folk musician and will be playing at Martyr’s on Sunday Oct. 2 at 7:30 – Evan and I are planning to go, and would love it if others would join us. She can be viciously funny as well as incredibly lyrical and sentimental. Tickets are $15 ahead of time through ticketmaster (but there is like a 5-6 buck transaction fee) or $18 at the [...]

(you can see movie clips on the site, some are not work safe)  Sunday we went and bought curtains and curtain rods for the living room, and some dumbbells that and I are going to give a try at working out with, and then played WOW in [...]

I f*ing hate insomnia . . . and it extra sucks when you are sick. That being said – Friday and I went out with and for dinner and a movie.  We ended up seeing Hitch.  Which was lots of fun, not something that is *fabulous* but we laughed and enjoyed ourselves.  For the first few minutes I thought I might have to kill myself, and that it was going to be like that recent car ad, with the husband conning his wife into the new SUV, but it all smoothed out.  Largely the shocking tips Hitch gave men, included [...]
