Crunchy Barley Salad – the remix
Tiramisu –
This is a desert that I’ve made more than once 9 egg yolks (extra large or jumbo) 1-3/4 C white sugar 2 C mascarpone cheese 2-3/4 C heavy whipping cream 1 17oz package of Ladyfingers (the dry crunchy style) 1- 1/2 C Brewed strong coffee 1/2 cup Kahlua (add more or less to taste) 1 t vanilla 1 Teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting If you can whip cream in your home you probably have everything, both tools and skills, to make this. A more real holiday review
Like usual for Evan and I the holiday was a marathon. The season, as always, kicked off with my mom’s birthday on the 24th. Friday I [...]

I am not good at doing money breakouts, but I suspect that making them at home is cheaper per piece, and I can guarantee healthier. Like usual I browse the Internet looking for recipes that appeal to me and [...]
As I come down to the wire on Capricon I get to the place I do when I throw my own large parties. How much is the right amount, and how much is not enough. I have a terror of not feeding everyone, not providing enough variety to cover people’s food needs, and not having enough portions to go around. I solve this problem in my own house, by over buying and then just eating the leftovers in the following week. But also I am spending my own money, so if I overspend then I just have to tighten my [...]
