As always, we will be passing the hat, we ask that the audience put in what they think is reasonable for a full length show.

Cheshire Moon is the fanciful collaboration of trickster bird Lizzie Crowe and crazed magician Eric Coleman.

What began as a simple joining of two talents in song circles, and occasionally during the mad-hatter antics of Eric Coleman on stage, whipped and frothed into the most likely of pairs. Eric’s love of punk, folk and prog rock gives them an… eerie, otherworldly sound, while Lizzie brings the voice of that otherworld to life in chorus and verse.

Together they bring about a torrent that is as playful as it is lightly sinister, all wrapped up in a pretty little beribboned box. Do you dare to open it?

If you’d like some samples of what you’ll be hearing you can listen to some clips at the Cheshire Moon Website.

Song Circle: Once the concert is over, we will convert the living room into a song circle. Please bring yourself, your instruments, your voice, and your willingness to participate! As usual Evan and I will provide snacks and soda and water, but potluck items are always welcome. To learn more about music events at our house click here

Hey all,

I talked to a LOT of you at Musecon, or near Musecon or around Musecon etc about running a program, or volunteering in other ways to help the programming team at the con.  If you are interested in running a program, teaching a class, or volunteering in any way with the programming team, please drop me a line (musecon@alyse.org) or go fill out our Programming Questionaire (http://t.co/4cxS9UEx) (nifty online form). Look forward to the awesome year of programs we are all going to put together!

I know it seems early early early, but because of the kinds of programming we do we are trying to have our programming all setup before Capricon this year (also we think that will improve reg rates)

So some of you might have heard of MuseCon, or even went last year. For those of you who haven’t – its a fabulous little con that is just getting started (we’re heading into our 2nd year). It is a convention focused on enhancing and encouraging creativity in as many forms as the hotel and our family-friendly policy will allow . As we are so new, we are run very much on a volunteer basis and are looking for people who might be interested in sharing a bit of their knowledge, skill or creativity by running a program. We are looking [...]

AWESOME MUSIC! Thanks everyone who performed! Everyone i heard was fantastic, and I feel really blessed for getting a chance to hear all of you in one weekend. I have recordings of some of your concerts – so if you want copies just let me know. Bought some really great CDs – Heather Dale, Alexander James Adams, Julia Ecklar and (the one I am listening to now) Playing Rapunzel. (How come no one told me that Playing Rapunzel had Mich Sampson in it!) Slept way more than one might want to to get the most out of a con. This [...]
