For a chunk of last year I took a break. It was a break from a lot of things – I stopped running the board, I stopped hosting big events, I gafiated (for well more than part of last year), and a bunch of other things got trimmed way back. I was exhausted and I really wanted to give myself permission to relax and to evaluate all the crazy pies I had my fingers in.
So that part is about me.
The next bit is about you.
I am a little worried, that now that have taken that break I might have lost momentum enough that if I started hosting events again I wouldn’t have people turn up. Or that the kind of events I used to host or want to host won’t attract people any more – that people have found new places and friends to do those things with, or maybe have moved on altogether.
